A gorgeous plant that has very distinctive slim leaves that are a deep green on top and a dark purple underneath. This plant gets its common name, Velvet Calathea, from the fuzzy texture of the underside of its leaves. Not only does this plant look special, it is also great at purifying the air.

Our houseplants arrive in their nursery pot, wrapped in kraft paper. Ornamental Pot charged separately.

Care Instructions

Place in bright, indirect light away from vents and drafty areas.
Use well-draining soil that can be kept moist.
Keep the plant's environment humid - misting regularly of by using a humidifier.
Water enough to keep soil moist in the summer.
In the winter, allow the top soil to dry out between waterings.
Avoid leaving the plant in standing water.
Feed regularly during the spring and summer months.
